Biggest Loser Challenge

The newest and fastest way to lose weight is THE BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE at K-Leisure . The challenge runs over an 8 week period with weekly weigh in’s, food diary’s and advice. Each team member is given a six week diet sheet to follow.  The biggest challenge for the teams is the weekly one hour outdoor workout which puts everyone’s stamina to the test. They also will partake in two boot camp sessions during the 8 week period. This is where both teams and trainers will get together to train and meet their opponents. Each person will receive 2 passes to use for either aerobic classes or a gym session. At the end of six weeks the two top weight losers from each team will go through to the final. The final will last for two weeks and out of those four we will crown one Biggest Loser.

I took part in K Leisure’s Biggest Looser 8 week programme. We received a nutritional talk the firstweek and were given examples of healthy menu’s and a food diary.I was already a member of the gymand took a variety of classes. But with the Biggest Looser, there was 2 bootcamp sessions per week.Bootcamp sessions were outside and they varied from running with tyres to press-ups on hay bales.The teamwork and outdoor venue made the bootcamp sessions thoroughly enjoyable. Throughoutthe bootcamp sessions, Clodagh and Eimos ensured we were all put through our paces, while ensuringa fun time was had by all. We were encouraged by all other members of the K Leisure team to staymotivated throughout the 8 weeks. There was a weekly weigh in, which was daunting at first, but as thekilo’s started to drop the nerves did too! I lost a total of 5 Kilos in the 8 weeks, which I was delightedwith considering I had a holiday to New York in the middle of the programme. I would recommend KLeisure’s Biggest Looser to anyone who wants to loose weight as the entire experience was hard workbut enjoyable. I hope this will inspire others to take part in the next Biggest Looser, what is there toloose only kilos!!

I joined k Leisure’s biggest loser weight loss programme to get fit and loose weight. I arrived on Monday night along with another 40+ people both men and women all shapes and sizes. We stared with a nutritional and motivational talk to get us in the frame of mind for the programme then we all got our first weigh in, body fat, B.M.I and body measurements taken. Then on Tuesday night off we went outdoors to do our first bootcamp workout .
We did some warm up exercises and then started with squats and lunges and abdominal work. I gave the first class a try and have to admit my body wasn’t what it used to be. The following day my legs were tired but otherwise I felt good.
After 2-3 weeks I noticed I could push myself a bit more. I also started to workout twice to three times a week in the gym. The instructors would check in to see how I was doing and gave me great encouragement and support. My diet consists of plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, and chicken and I continued to dodge the biscuit jar.
On the 19th of July was the final weigh in for the biggest loser programme and I was delighted to have lost 13kgs /  2 stone and was even more delighted to discover I won  and I was very proud to be crowned K Leisure’s biggest loser!
The next biggest loser programme starts on the 12th of September 2011 and I am already signed up. Remember if you change nothing – nothing will change.
